SPORT-INCLUDE Project Launches with Erasmus+ Support
The SPORT-INCLUDE – Active Participation Through Sport: A Youth Worker Guide for NEET Youth project, coordinated by YUNUS EMRE GENCLIK 1993 e.V., has been awarded funding under the Erasmus+ Programme by the European Union and the German National Agency JUGEND für Europa.

The 18-month project brings together four organizations from Germany, Türkiye, Portugal, and Bulgaria around a common goal. YUNUS EMRE GENCLIK 1993 e.V. serves as the coordinating organization, while Yeşilmarmara Youth and Sports Club Association (Türkiye), Mundus Intercultural ONGD (Portugal), and Espero Association (Bulgaria) participate as project partners.
The main objective of SPORT-INCLUDE is to strengthen the competences of youth workers in sport-based non-formal education and support the active participation of NEET (Not in Education, Employment, or Training) young people in social life. By harnessing the universal and inclusive power of sport, the project aims to enhance young people’s self-confidence, communication, teamwork, leadership, and social participation skills.
Throughout the project, the partner organizations will develop an innovative training module for youth workers and test it through pilot activities carried out in different countries. Based on the experiences and results gathered during these activities, a comprehensive digital guide will be produced and made available to youth workers across Europe.
Through international meetings, training activities, and local pilot actions, SPORT-INCLUDE seeks to enhance the professional capacities of youth workers, facilitate the exchange of good practices, and promote the social inclusion of disadvantaged young people. The project will also contribute to building sustainable cooperation among organizations from different European countries.
One of the key outcomes of the project will be a multilingual Digital Guide, which will be published on the Erasmus+ Project Results Platform and made accessible to youth workers, civil society organizations, and institutions active in the youth field throughout Europe.
SPORT-INCLUDE represents an important European cooperation initiative that aims to increase young people’s participation in society, provide innovative tools for youth workers, and contribute to the development of more inclusive communities through the transformative power of sport.
